There is no therapy for a sexual predator. Just like you can't change anyone who is straight or homosexual. If man or woman is convicted once for sexual assault, we throw away the key.

MAPPA is a horrible tool of the state that can be applied to ANYONE just because a couple of corrupt agents of the state agree to put someone on it. I have a lot of trouble with both of my daughters when it comes to communication. I have learned that this difficulty stemsfrom the lack of emotional support in my childhood. My 12 yo is silent and she shuts down not knowing how to name what she is feeling. My 7 yo is highly verbal and has crying outbursts. When asked why she is crying, she repeatedly stays "I don't know!" This breaks my heart first, then after a few minutes i feel very angry when she won't stop and use her words. I have begun therapy for myself and I'm seeking a therapist for my children as well.

I don't know who you are talking about but you seem one of the more decent, principled, professional, balanced, qualified and kind people in the trade. Yes, the difference is addiction vs predatory behaviour. One is motivated as a coping method and faulty practice in order to cope with pain, and the other is arrogance (see what I can do mentality, see what I am capable of) and sheer disregard for another, even an entitlement to intimidate and hurt another.
